Mr. Baoz Is In Town

Who says economy no good? Luxuries are almost everywhere, they are not just doing GOOD, they are growing like mushrooms after the rain. I bet you had tried out any of these: Big Apple DonutsDunkin Donuts, Desserts Bar, and those ice creams kingdoms like New Zealand Natural, Haagen-Dazs and Baskin-Robbins. Now you got what I mean. You will see them in every place when you are trying to get some leisure time, hunting you like ghost.

These are more towards western, I said this because they are no doubt 100% western food. Since China is moving fast in the eye of the World, it is not natural not to get something luxuries from one of the oldest civilization of the world. There comes Mr. Baoz.

Bao, or simply bun with ingredients are unavoidable in Chinese history. Even today, chinese people are just crazy on this food. They wake up at 5 something in the morning during weekend and head out for some Bao and Dim Sum with their family. However, the Bao I am referring so far is cost not more than RM1.50 per piece.
Now, during the season where everyone thinks that the economy is no good (some even says economy crisis) the Bao can sell with the price tag of RM3.50 per piece. Common' man, if the economy is so damn bad, why people are taking out RM3.50 just for one Bao? They can eat A LOT MORE if they spent if WISELY?
Of course, presentation of the Bao are very important, especially when you want to sell it as if it is a rocket accessory. I found out some damn true facts when I eat this thing: First, if it looks nice, it WILL taste nice (this is call human imagination, if you want me to say it so damn clear);

Second, if it is expensive, you will remember the brand forever and ever, and you WILL definitely thinking of buying it again!;

Third, no matter you like the taste or not, you will tell your friend about it and make FREE ADVERTISEMENT for them, just because THEY ARE EXPENSIVE (and you are the one who paying them). No offense, but it is damn true.

Special thanks to my Mr. Baoz sponsor: Mr. Ham Ham

Shabu-shabu (Japanese)

I went to my friend's restaurant last week, to try out her Japanese Shabu-shabu.

Frankly, I never tried any of these shabu-shabu before, all I had tried is the steamboat or luk-luk.

My friend had spent quite on renovation. The results are great.

This restaurant is clearly aims at the customers from middle class society.

Hey, I put free advertisement for you, next meal is on your bill, ok? :)

We are sit by the beautiful waitress there to this nice sit. When I look up to the window, wow, "The KL tower is out there!"

Besides the beautiful waitress, I mean KL tower, I also enjoy myself on the night scene of KL traffic, counting the cars while waiting for my food to come.

When the food came, I immediately start eating.

Wait, I almost forgot to take more picture of the food. Let start from the source given. There are ketchup, chili, and peanut butter from left to right. Wait, peanut butter? Yea, I tried it and I confirm it is peanut butter.

Three different soup can be chosen, there are Nagomi, chicken soup, and spicy soup. I ordered Nagomi and my dear ordered chicken soup. I like the Nagomi very much. And we tried the spicy soup later on, and it is taste like Korean kimchi.

There are varieties of vegetables to let you make your soup more tastier, it does also will look nice.

The table is conveniently large, knowing the dishes is so big. Also, four edges of the table include a heating control, for easy control on the boiling temperature.

These is the main dish everyone came for the Japanese Shabu-shabu. You can choose chicken, beef and fish. You can see that the meat ball is actually made instantly in front of you by the waitress there.

Before and after the meat ball is made.

Yeah, peace.

Some demo on how to shabu-shabu at the video below (no la, it is just watching me eating shabu-shabu, that's all). Tipson shabu-shabu: do not dip the meat more than one minutes (everyone knows this).

金牌会员

If Internet is the 21th century most successful creation, then forums will be the 21th century most successful blow water platform (吹水坛), not apply for all of course, there are still useful and informative ones, but mostly does blow water there (enjoy mah).

In fact, I enjoy reading people blow water over the forums.

Every time when I visits forums on the Internet, I see different kinds of character (from their uploaded photo, of course). We can actually read the book from its cover at the forums. But I give you a warn that do not believe what you see in the forums, okay?

They are pretty ones which are also has a good heart (okay, maybe not).

They are act cute ones (Yerrr...).

They are very romantic ones (face skin too thick).

Furry ones.

Sleepy ones.

And also animals (No, I do not mean what you think).

All these peoples (animals as well) are getting themselves golden membership in their respective forum.

I wonder how many hours they had spent to achieve that status.

I also wonder why forums have to differentiate their members into different categories.

I thought internet is the place where everyone's level, status etc. is the same no matter you are a jobless person, or other people's employee, student or even prime minister in your own country. Why need to categories people, why people always says the world is not equal but at the same time they want to be different from others. People, contradict.

Special Grill at BBQ Plaza

Last week I went to BBQ Plaza for dinner, and I found out that their grill is actually specially designed to maintain a certain degree of temperature at the center of the grill.

I think most of the people do not realize this. So I decided to have a small science class here explaining why (suggested by my cousin brother):

Chapter 1: How Come The Meat Would Not Burn Into Black Carbon?

1. Heat transfer from the heater to the grill (just to make sure you actually started the heater).
2. Energy will transfer from higher energy level to lower energy level (just like water flow from higher ground to lower ground).
3. Heat is also a kind of energy, so it will transfer from hotter to cooler place.
4. The edge of the grill is cooler than the center when the edge is filled with soup. So more heat transfer to the edge than the center when the soup is still there (if you do not suck it all).
5. The more soup you put at the edge, the lower the temperature at the center. The water will absorb most of the energy because evaporation needs many energy and obviously more energy than cooking the meat (that is why your car engine is also cooled by water).

So, that is why your meat is still nice in color.

BBQ Plaza At One Utama

My Dear wanted to treat me a nice meal for my birthday, although it is late (yea, I know she was busy on my birthday, and I understand it. No problem dear, it is okay).

At first we booked sits the Shogun at One Utama, but last minutes I decided to try out the BBQ Plaza (since I never tried before, and I heard my cousin say it is nice).

It comes with a nice brass grill. It is in dome shape, so you can grill and have soup around it at the same time. It is very nice to play! (Did you see two milky rectangular meat on the top of the grill, it is not meat actually. Yeah, they are PORK FAT! My grandmother used to use it for cooking last time.)

Here comes our main dishes... very fresh and nicely cut.

You can see the pattern on the meat.

For safety, we ordered another bacon roll fried rice. To make sure we are full when going out the door.

Different people comes with different styles when comes to table manner. Typical eating style of my family emphasize on speed, my mom mastered it quite well I think (you see the speed of her hand, the camera shutter is comparable slower).

Some will be shy... don't be shy la...

Wuah... what to say, get caught. Note: Do not try this at public, keep it at home.

I like cuttle fish, because they have sense of dancing.

Spring Valley Dim Sum Buffet

Spring Valley Chinese Restaurant is located at Midvalley.
I brought my mom over there having an all-you-can-eat Hong Kong Dim Sum.
Dim Sum in Chinese means "point to the heart" which also means "food which touches your heart" in other words.
All kinds of Dim Sum is there for you to take.
Besides Dim Sum, there are also some varieties of Chinese cuisine well prepared on the table for you.

Chinese famous 'lu zhu jiao' and big prawns.

Wuah, 'shao ya dui' or roasted duck drumstick sure smell good!

This is Beijing 'Tian Ya'.

These are my favorite fry Dim Sum, 'fly xia jiao', 'zian dui' and 'wu jiao'.

Yea, we are so lucky that every customer at Spring Valley that day got free shark fin from the chef.

Yup, dumplings also got, with nice soup.

You guess it right, 'Yong tofu' also got, and the sweet and sour fish fillet too.

And much more, egg tarts, porridge, fry chickens...

We find ourselves too full at this stage and we couldn't manage to take more of the desserts.
This is lobster salad, our dessert. Others like 'tofu fah', ice cream, 'guai ling gao', budding etc. are also available.
All this was charged around RM34 per pax, tax included.

China Lauched Their Space Mission, Again

China launches their riskiest space mission yet.
First we heard is the Shenzhou 6, which is actually the second manned space flight. It carried Nie Haisheng and Fei Junlong and was a milestone for China's space program and proof that the country is completely capable of carrying out its own space program independently.

Launching of the Shenzhou 6, on Wednesday, October 12, 2005.

Nie Haisheng and Fei Junlong back and climbs out of the module, at 05:39 Monday, October 17, 2005.

The space research activities were all well planed. In case you do not know, China, Russia and United States are the only countries that have launched humans into space.

Their next step is sending Shenzhou 7 to space, which is just happen.

This time sending more people and also performing more experiments, including new developed space suit.

Step by step, these missions are proven to be a major step forward in China's ambition of building a space station and probing the moon. Shenzhou spacecraft is being used to develop manned spaceflight techniques and in the future may serve as a ferry to Chinese space stations and as a lunar orbital and landing spacecraft.

So, for Malaysia, where is our second step in space exploration, after spending so much money on training this gay dude.

Maybe it is good for publication of the Beijing Olympic 2008.
